Website Maintenance Terms & Conditions
1. Plugin Updates
- All WordPress plugins will be updated on a monthly basis to ensure compatibility and security.
- Updates will be performed during off-peak hours to minimise disruption.
2. Theme Updates
- The WordPress theme will be updated on a monthly basis or as new versions are released.
- Any major updates requiring significant changes will be communicated in advance.
3. WordPress Updates
- The WordPress core software will be updated monthly or as new stable versions are released.
- Critical security updates will be applied as soon as possible.
4. Security Monitoring
- Continuous monitoring for security threats, malware, and vulnerabilities.
- Immediate action will be taken to mitigate any detected threats.
5. Backup Services
- Monthly automated backups of the website, including all content and databases.
- Backups will be stored securely off-site and can be restored upon request.
6. Prevention of Spam
- Implementation of anti-spam measures to prevent spam comments and submissions.
- Regular monitoring and adjustment of spam filters.
7. Hack Prevention
- Regular security audits to identify and fix vulnerabilities.
- Implementation of firewall and other security measures to prevent hacking attempts.
8. Update of Website Patches
- Application of all relevant security patches and updates to the website and its components.
9. Removal of Spam Comments
- Regular removal of spam comments from the website.
- Monitoring and adjustment of spam filters to minimise future occurrences.
10. Reconnection of the Instagram Feed
- Regular checks and reconnection of the Instagram feed to ensure continuous display.
- Troubleshooting any issues related to the Instagram feed integration.
The following is only included in ‘The Works’ package:
11. SSL Certificate Management
- Regular monitoring and renewal of SSL certificates to ensure encrypted connections.
- Troubleshooting and resolution of any SSL-related issues.
12. Basic SEO Optimisation
- Monthly review and optimisation of website content for search engines.
- Implementation of basic on-page SEO strategies.
13. Testing of Forms
- Regular testing of all forms on the website to ensure proper functionality.
- Troubleshooting and fixing any form-related issues.
14. Testing of Checkout Processes (For eCommerce websites only)
- Monthly testing of the checkout process to ensure a smooth user experience.
- Troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to the checkout process.
15. Third-party Integration
- Regular monitoring and testing of third-party integrations to ensure they are functioning correctly.
- Troubleshooting and resolving any integration issues.
16. Page Load Speed Optimisation
- Monthly optimisation of website elements to improve page load speed.
- Implementation of best practices for speed optimisation.
17. Basic Troubleshooting
- Troubleshooting and resolving basic website issues as they arise.
- Support provided via email and phone.
18. Content Updates
- Up to 5 content updates per month, including text, images, and minor design changes.
- Additional updates beyond the included 5 per month may incur extra charges.
- Unused content updates do not roll over to the following month.
19. Image Updates
- Monthly updates to website images as requested.
- Optimisation of images for web performance.
20. Email & Phone Support
- Support provided via email with a 48-hour response time during business hours.
- Phone support available for urgent issues during business hours.
General Terms & Conditions:
21. Service Limitations
- ‘The Works’ package includes up to 5 content updates per month. Additional updates beyond this limit may incur extra charges.
- Support is provided during regular business hours. Urgent issues outside of business hours may incur additional charges.
22. Termination and Cancellation
- Either party may terminate this agreement with 30 days written notice.
- Upon termination, all services and access will be discontinued.
23. Payment Terms
- The monthly fee is due on the first of each month.
- Late payments may result in suspension of services until the account is brought current.
24. Liability
- The service provider will not be held liable for any direct or indirect damages arising from the use of the services provided.
- The client agrees to protect and absolve the service provider from any claims, damages, or expenses resulting from the use of the services.
